A Special Members-Only Opportunity

Golden Gate Men's Chorus-World Premieres

July 3, 2013

The Golden Gate Men's Chorus, under the direction of Joseph Piazza has premiered I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes by Vytautas Miškinis for male soprano, male alto, and TTBB chorus. This commissioned work premiered at Mission Dolores Basilica in San Francisco on May 12th alongside of GGMC's newly comissioned Surge amica mea for TTBB chorus by Canadian composer Leonard Enns. The Golden Gate Men's Chorus has also commissioned and will premiere in the spring of 2014 a new work by Swiss composer Ivo Antognini entitled So Live Your Life, text by Chief Tecumseh also for TTBB chorus. And finally for spring of 2014 the chorus will premiere Shine On Freedom! newly composed for GGMC by Kirby Shaw. Each of these works will be performed again by the Golden Gate Men's Chorus this summer at the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia.
